December Update

December, 2017

Dear Friends and Ministry Partners

Merry Christmas from Cindy and Paul. We pray you have a wonderful time of family and friends celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you for all your prayers, love and your financial investments.

With your giving we were able, led of God, to help a retired minister in the Houston area. To continue his dialysis he had to be flown out of the area after the storm. Thank you for your giving which enabled us to do this.

This year we were able to give away 395 back packs on the Red Bud Indian Reservation. At the beginning of Home Mission Week, several ladies went through each back pack. The school asked us to do so to verify there aren’t any fluids or pencil sharpeners (which have blades) etc. They then sorted them by grades and male or female. On Thursday we pack and go to St. Francis School. We unload at the school and they start to bring the kids. It’s a lot of work but brings us such joy to see the smile of a child. Dixie (thank you Dixie), the last couple of years has been organizing things during the Home Mission Week. I want to give special thanks to the churches that helped us in this ministry. The churches involved in supplying materials were: New Hope Assembly, Rogers AR; The Ridge. Pea Ridge AR: Crossroads, McPherson KS: Assembly of God, Hill City KS: New Life Assembly, Beloit KS: Assembly of God, Osborne KS; Cornerstone Assembly, Red Cloud NE:  Living Waters, Courtland KS; and, Fresh Fire, Valentine NE. Below are pictures of the back packs.

Years ago when I gave my life back to Christ, I was so thankful for salvation. I felt so clean and pure. But I also remembered my calling and thought how I would have to simply try and be the best Christian I could be but never fulfill my calling. After a couple years, God woke me in the night from a dream. I went to the living room and knelt, wept and prayed. God spoke to me that he was restoring the call of God on my life. I was elated and tears of sorrow turned to tears of joy. I remember one day reading about a famous evangelist had preached over 3,500 times in his life. I was amazed but saddened thinking that could have been me. I could have preached 3,500 times if I hadn’t wasted seven years of my life. A few months after that, a lady I really respected at church told me God was going to restore all that the locust, the cankerworm, the caterpillar and the palmerworm had tried to steal out of my life. Friends the service I held on a Monday night in Hutchison KS last month was my 4,900 service. 3,500 was a long time ago.  God has restored and added. Cindy and I are so thankful for your prayers. We give God all the praise for all he has done through the years of ministry. Next year the Lord willing we will surpass 5,000 times that we have ministered.
